Advertisements are marketing tools that company uses to promote their products to consumers, it may provide an insight on upcoming releases or it may entice clients to buy things they think they need. I think in my opinion, the latter instance always ends up getting items you do not need, since most of the items available in the market is not necessary.
Newspaper
ads, billboards and commercials are now part of everyday living. It can be seen
in any corner of the street, walls of houses, and buildings. These ads feature
new shoes, clothing line, dresses, and accessories. It may also advice upcoming
events or movies featuring popular actors and latest creative action scenes.
Many companies will flash their new line of car, equipment, and gadgets situated
in various locations like luxurious homes, sophisticated buildings or even in outer
space. Many of these are tricks of the trade and are sometimes driven by the
current situation of consumer. Businessmen often use the excitement of getting ahead
of the pack mentality to attract buyers in getting their products.
However,
there are certain qualities every shopper has that are being abused by each of
the tycoons in the market today, this trait is being a shopaholic. Online
shopping has made it easy for individuals to add to cart and get your purchased
items in a few days. Signages and banners will advertise that there will be a
midnight sale event at this store this weekend, it will then attract customers
to go to their store and buy their products. There will be times where establishments will highlight
strategies like buy one take one or anything similar like 50% off, which will
make the spectators think they are really getting a great bargain. But the end
of the day, most of the items bought in these events either from online, midnight
sale or clearance sales are not required and are considered useless.
As part
of the consuming public, it is our responsibility to use our sound judgement and
decide for ourselves what products really matters for each individual and their
family. Everybody should not be blinded by fancy ads that hypnotize the community,
and purchase only what is required and not regret it at the end.
