This behind the scene Photo-shoot with Jojo was shot using 1 5d Mark 2 and photographers Jack and Dan. This is also a test shot for my HD 2000 glidecam, I know it needs more practice. This also test the new Zoom H6 audio recorder and a Lavalier mic which was so sweet and very easy to use, very clean output too, I recommend it to hobbyist and independent filmmakers like me to get one as part of your gear.

COSPLAY MEPA 2014 BTS

Last Friday I had the privilege to cover a big Cosplay Event composing of 17 male and female models. It was a gathering of several photography groups that resulted to hundreds of photographers in one event. It was a successful event and you can see some of the clips for both Vimeo and Youtube users. Enjoy.

Different Look

This past month, I tried to go around doing some shots, but as of now the only thing I can think of is doing some close up shots of some things around the Hotel. This is some of the things I came up with...

I was frustrated not having anything to shoot for the past month, but this day I picked up my camera and just shot all over the hotel, and I was lying in my bed when I noticed the lights... hey there is a pattern here...

I liked the pattern...and added some colors ....

 

I noticed the shape of the battery seems nice...

I was intrigued by the shape and shine of this light fixture...I liked the contrast that it made...

Now this is the winner.... I experimented on the perspective, came up with this composition. It goes to show that even boring things might be interesting in your camera.

Nicole Faith First Birthday Celebration

It was a joyous occasion, that my daughter Nicole Faith, has turned 1 years old. Sadly I wasn't able to be there due to work locations, but I was happy that the event turned out great. That's the downside of working far away from home just to make your family feel secure and happy.

A Fun shoot with first time model Jeca. HMUA Aissa. Creative lighting was done on this shoot using 1 continuous LED light and 2 speedlights having 1 red gel and 1 blue gel. The continuous light was the key light and the other 2 speedlight where sort of made as highlights on the model's hair and skin. It cast a red and blue color cast on the overall scene.

This is a behind the scenes video of our recent photo shoot. All casual and just having some fun. this was executed using 2 Canon 580 EX II and 1 Canon 430 EX flashes. Diffusion is 2 shoot through umbrellas but configured as a bounce light. Another strobe is used as a background light. Power of the 2 lights were at 1/2 power and the background light was at full power.

A short movie that was shot at our site office, using 1 Go Pro Hero 2 camera. I just tested the capability of this camera if I could do a simple story out of it. It was acceptable, considering it's a small camera, not like a DSLR. Plot is that a worker which was doing his usual routine, was suddenly interrupted by an unusual event. All lighting were ambient and no external lighting was added. Visuals were added to create the creepy look.
